CARE Foundation of Western NC
CARE Foundation of Western North CarolinaCARE Foundation of Western North Carolina, Inc. was originally established in 1992 to provide for projects not usually funded through a normal mental health facility's budget as The Broughton Hospital Foundation. The name was changed in the latter part of 2013 to CARE Foundation of Western North Carolina and our purpose was expanded to include citizens with mental health issues and their families and professionals within the thirty-seven western-most counties of North Carolina. The prime purpose being to help reduce the stigma of mental illness and to bring about a better understanding for individuals who suffer from mental illness and their families.
