What is the first thing that springs to mind when you think of the holiday season? Gathering around a warm home-cooked supper with family is one of the season’s top delights for many. In NC, one in every eight people struggles to put food on the table every night, let alone on holidays.
We may not realize it, yet many of our neighbors face food insecurity on a daily basis. We believed it was our responsibility, after being taught about these awful realities, to devote our Community Cause effort to raising awareness and assisting in any manner we could to people who struggle with hunger. We encourage everyone to join in a local food drive, charity, or other food insecurity program if at all possible. If you are unable to, we can help you find other ways to contribute.
When you refer someone to us for a quote, we offer to donate $10 on your behalf to groups focusing on raising food and money for food-insecure families in our community. And, sure, that applies to EVERY buddy you send us. You do the calculations! This holiday season, you and a few friends might make a big impact for a lot of families in need.
