Keep strong, Stop the Wrong: Supporting Victims of Domestic Violence

Did you know that on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States? During one year, this equates to more than 10 million people. At our agency, we believe that nobody deserves to be living under such tumultuous circumstances that can cause not only a lot of stress but may cause someone their life. Domestic Violence can affect any member of the family regardless of gender or age, so it is important to raise awareness about what different forms of such abuse can take. This is why Jeff Kincaid Insurance Group is happy to be supporting shelters such as Safe Harbor that work every day to improve the quality of life for every family and its members.

Many of these shelters offer several programs that can help victims get back on their feet after surviving domestic abuse. Safe Harbor, for instance, has residential programs such as their Whole Woman Recovery Program and their High Country Recovery Center for Women. These programs are of course focused on helping battered women, but the organization also offers Family Recovery Resources for other members of the surviving family.
